Tube mill forming stands

When system integrators buy tube mill machine lines from us for a pipe plant, we supply a complete tube mill & welded pipe production line or single units. Our engineers guide installation and commissioning on site, with the buyer providing the crew; standard lines ship within 90 working days of the deposit, and a line is accepted when two sizes each run continuously and smoothly for four hours.

Scope, Commissioning, Acceptance and CE

  1. Scope: complete line or single unit / module.
  2. Commissioning: two to three of our engineers guide installation and commissioning of a high-frequency welded line on site, with the period set in the quotation and the buyer providing the crew; spiral lines are covered under SSAW scope for integrators.
  3. Acceptance: two sizes, four hours each, continuous and smooth.
  4. CE: the company is certified to ISO 9001:2015, and the welded pipe equipment is CE marked under the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

Programme Scope and Who It Is For

The programme is for plant and engineering integrators building a pipe plant for an end customer, who need full-line customisation, engineers on site and one maker across the whole process, and for energy and infrastructure contractors buying against a technical standard and a delivery date. Our own manufacturing base is open to inspection visits before an order. Where a plant is built to API 5L, the inspection chain is set out under API line pipe plant.

Configuration Tiers and What Each Tier Includes

A full high-frequency line is built from eight units: expanding-mandrel uncoiler, five-roller leveller (HG89 and above), automatic shear and butt welder, spiral accumulator, forming and sizing mill, high-frequency induction welder, flying saw, and PLC with variable-frequency control. What each unit does is explained under what is an ERW tube mill.

We supply a complete line or single units, and pricing is tiered by configuration to reflect scope, not a quality gap. Within a tier the variables are the automation level (semi-automatic or fully automatic PLC), whether an in-line inspection train is fitted, and the forming route; how the tiers differ is set out under tube mill configuration tiers.

Commercial Terms: Lead Time, Payment and Incoterms

Standard lines ship within 90 working days of the deposit, with plant-level customisation scheduled from our own manufacturing base; larger lines are scheduled in the quotation. The line is dismantled into units and shipped in containers: heavy frames are braced and secured, while precision parts and wear items travel in wooden cases together with a spare-parts pack. Payment is 30% by T/T on signing, 65% by T/T before shipment and 5% after installation and commissioning, or by L/C at sight; prices are quoted ex-works (EXW).

Support and Spare-Parts Supply

Spares — forming and sizing rolls are wear-replacement spares machined in-house on our own CNC; saw blades, induction coils and impeders are consumables; process media are purchased locally to our specification. Service lives are available on request.

Support — our engineers travel to site to guide installation, commissioning and operator training; the buyer provides the installation crew and covers the engineers’ travel, lodging and daily allowance. Support continues online after handover, and our after-sales team handles enquiries.

What the Line Is Responsible For at Acceptance

On the equipment side sit welder power matching, seam alignment and squeeze for weld fusion, and sizing accuracy and straightening capability for dimensional accuracy. On high-end configurations, material yield can reach 93% or more, and actual yield also depends on the buyer’s operation; the figures behind that are under tube mill output, material yield & roll-change cost.

On the buyer’s side sit incoming strip grade, thickness tolerance and flatness, together with operation and scheduling.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the integrator programme include?

For integrators the content is scope, commissioning and acceptance rather than a partner agreement: complete-line or single-unit supply, installation and commissioning with engineers dispatched on site, shipment within 90 working days of the deposit for standard lines, and an acceptance criterion of two sizes each running continuously and smoothly for four hours.

What are typical lead times and payment terms?

Standard lines ship within 90 working days of the deposit, with plant-level customisation scheduled from our own manufacturing base; payment is 30% by T/T on signing, 65% by T/T before shipment and 5% after installation and commissioning, or L/C at sight; prices are quoted ex-works (EXW).

Which configuration tiers are available and what changes between them?

The same unit train runs through every tier: expanding-mandrel uncoiler, five-roller leveller (HG89 and above), automatic shear and butt welder, spiral accumulator, forming and sizing mill, high-frequency induction welder, flying saw, and PLC with variable-frequency control. What changes within a tier is the automation level, whether an in-line inspection train is fitted, and the forming route.

How are spare parts and rolls supplied after handover?

Rolls are machined in-house on our own CNC so supply does not depend on an outside tool shop; spares ship direct rather than through the original project channel, and a spare-parts pack travels with the original container.

What technical support do integrators receive?

Our engineers travel to site to guide installation, commissioning and operator training; the buyer provides the installation crew and covers the engineers’ travel, lodging and daily allowance. Support continues online after handover, and our after-sales team handles enquiries.

After sales service tube mill

After-sales service on our tube mills covers engineers on site to guide installation, commissioning and operator training, online support after handover, our after-sales team for enquiries, and spare parts shipped direct, with forming and sizing rolls machined in-house so roll supply does not depend on an outside tool shop.

CE certified tube mill

For plants that need a CE certified tube mill, our welded pipe equipment is CE marked under the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and the company is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
