Coil slitting line in the workshop

As a slitting line manufacturer supplying distributors, we build the steel coil slitting line for coil 1–12 mm thick, 800–2000 mm wide and up to 32 t, holding slit width to ±0.2 mm with burr no more than 4% of thickness. Supply is tiered, standard lines ship within 90 working days of the deposit, and rolls and tooling are machined in-house. For sheet cut from coil, see wholesale cut-to-length lines; for which of the two a buyer needs, see slitting vs cut-to-length.

The Slitting Line and Its Accuracy

  1. Material window: 1–12 mm thick, 800–2000 mm wide, coil to 32 t.
  2. Slit width ±0.2 mm, camber ≤0.5 mm/1000 mm (coil width ≥200 mm), burr ≤4% of thickness, telescoping ≤±10 mm.
  3. Main train: double-head uncoiler, slitter, 32-tonne recoiler, plus hydraulic shear, looper and tension unit.
  4. Knife set configured per thickness — up to 15 strips at 2 mm, 10 at 4 mm, 6 at 6 mm and 4 at 8 mm, with a minimum strip width of 80 mm; the full specification is on the coil slitting machine page.

Programme Scope and Who It Is For

The programme is for equipment distributors, agents and plant integrators selling slitting lines to welded pipe plants, roll forming plants and steel service centres. Those buyers accept a slit coil on four measures: slit width, camber, burr and telescoping on the recoil.

Configuration Tiers and What Each Tier Includes

For this family the configuration content is the main train and the tooling: a double-head uncoiler, slitter and 32-tonne recoiler, with hydraulic shear, looper and tension-separator mechanism around them; and a knife stack of blades, spacers, rubber sleeves and separator discs built for the thickness being run.

We supply complete lines or single units, with pricing tiered by configuration to reflect scope, not a quality gap. Steel coil slitting machine price is quoted per configuration tier on request; how the tiers differ is set out under tube mill configuration tiers.

Commercial Terms: Lead Time, Payment and Incoterms

Standard lines ship within 90 working days of the deposit, with plant-level customisation scheduled from our own manufacturing base. The line is dismantled into units and shipped in containers: heavy frames are braced and secured, while precision parts and wear items travel in wooden cases together with a spare-parts pack. Payment is 30% by T/T on signing, 65% by T/T before shipment and 5% after installation and commissioning, or by L/C at sight; prices are quoted ex-works (EXW).

Support and Spare-Parts Supply

Tooling supply — slitting knives, spacers, rubber sleeves and separator discs are the wear set that holds width tolerance and burr; they are configured per strip thickness and supplied as a matched set. Rolls and tooling are machined in-house on our own CNC. Knife life and resharpening intervals are covered under slitting line running cost.

Support — our engineers travel to site to guide installation, commissioning and operator training; the buyer provides the installation crew and covers the engineers’ travel, lodging and daily allowance. Support continues online after handover, and our after-sales team handles enquiries.

How Width Accuracy Is Actually Produced

Width tolerance is produced by the knife set and held by the tension chain. The stack of knives, spacers, rubber sleeves and separator discs is built for the thickness being run, and knife clearance set to that thickness is what holds ±0.2 mm and keeps burr low; the number of strips the stack can carry falls as thickness rises. The measured figures and how they are checked are on the slitting precision page.

When knives or spacers are worn, or the stack is wrongly configured, the consequences are width out of tolerance, heavy burr and camber.

Then the strip has to survive the trip to the recoiler. Tension, looper and recoil control are what suppresses camber and keeps telescoping within ±10 mm; losing control there produces a coil that measures correctly on the slitter and still cannot be run downstream.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the dealer/partner programme include?

What we offer: tiered configuration leaving resale margin, shipment within 90 working days of the deposit for standard lines, payment by T/T or L/C at sight, after-sales support from our service team, on-site dispatch, and tooling machined in-house.

What are typical lead times and payment terms?

Standard lines ship within 90 working days of the deposit, with plant-level customisation scheduled from our own manufacturing base; payment is 30% by T/T on signing, 65% by T/T before shipment and 5% after installation and commissioning, or L/C at sight; prices are quoted ex-works (EXW).

Which configuration tiers are available and what changes between them?

Complete line or single unit. Within this family the content is the main train and the knife stack, with the stack rebuilt for each strip thickness — up to 15 strips at 2 mm, 10 at 4 mm, 6 at 6 mm and 4 at 8 mm.

How are spare parts and rolls supplied after handover?

Knives, spacers, rubber sleeves and separator discs are supplied as a matched set configured to the thickness being run; rolls and tooling are machined in-house on our own CNC, and spares ship direct.

What technical support do partners receive?

Our engineers travel to site to guide installation, commissioning and operator training; the buyer provides the installation crew and covers the engineers’ travel, lodging and daily allowance. Support continues online after handover, and our after-sales team handles enquiries.

Coil slitting line manufacturers

Among coil slitting line manufacturers, we state the material window, the four tolerance figures and the main train for every line, and make the knives and tooling on our own CNC. The company is certified to ISO 9001:2015, and our slitting lines are CE marked under the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
