A steel coil cutting machine turns coil into flat sheet of a set length: it uncoils and levels the strip, cuts it across and stacks the sheets. It is sized for your coil and your sheet, so send those figures with your enquiry.

Technical Specification Table

A sheet coil cutting machine is sized from your coil and your sheet, so no fixed specification is published for ours. These are the figures we size it from, and the machine is confirmed against them at quotation.

Item What we need from you
Coil Thickness, width, steel grade, coil weight, inner and outer diameter
Sheet Length range, and sheets or weight per stack
Accuracy Length tolerance, squareness and flatness you need
Output Sheets or tonnes per shift you need
Site Length and width of the bay the line will stand in

Line Configuration and Scope of Supply

The cut-to-length line in our own video runs in this order: a levelling section, a looper pit with a bridge that lets the strip keep moving while the shear cuts, the cross-cut shear, and a conveyor that carries each sheet to the stacking end. Supply can be the complete line or single units, such as the leveller or the shear section, as agreed in the quotation.

Size Change and Running Cost

On a cut-to-length line a size change is mostly a setting change: a new sheet length is set at the control desk, and a change of thickness means resetting the leveller. The parts that wear are the shear blades and the leveller rolls; there are no fixed figures for blade life or cost per tonne, because both depend on your material and your output.

Wear Parts and Consumables

The shear blades, leveller rolls and conveyor belt are the parts that wear. Hydraulic oil and grease are used on a maintenance interval, to our specification and bought locally, and a spare-parts pack travels with the line.

Applications and Output Examples

A sheet metal coil cutting machine serves plants that work from flat sheet: press shops, fabrication shops and steel service centres that sell cut sheet. Output depends on sheet length and thickness, so it is worked out for your own product mix rather than quoted as one figure. If your next line runs coil instead, such as a tube mill or a roll forming line, you need our steel coil slitting line; the difference is set out in slitting vs cut-to-length. Distributors can see our wholesale cut-to-length lines page.

Cut to length machine for steel coil

A cut to length machine for steel coil is usually quoted as a complete line, from coil loading to sheet stacking, or as the cutting section alone if you already run an uncoiler and leveller. Either way each steel cut to length machine is matched to your coil range; how its accuracy is specified is explained on the cut-to-length accuracy page.

Delivery, Installation and Training

Standard lines ship within 90 working days of the deposit, with plant-level customisation scheduled from our own manufacturing base.

The line is dismantled into units and shipped in containers: heavy frames are braced and secured, while precision parts and wear items travel in wooden cases together with a spare-parts pack.

Our engineers travel to site to guide installation, commissioning and operator training; the buyer provides the installation crew and covers the engineers’ travel, lodging and daily allowance, and support continues online after handover. Our after-sales team handles enquiries.

Payment is 30% by T/T on signing, 65% by T/T before shipment and 5% after installation and commissioning, or by L/C at sight; prices are quoted ex-works (EXW).

Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
