Tube mill line in the workshop

This is a tube mill for sale direct from the manufacturer: Tengtian builds new lines only, so if you are weighing a second-hand mill against a new one, the points below set out what a new line includes and what to check. The full range is under tube mill manufacturer, and partner terms are under for distributors and integrators.

How a New Line Is Delivered and Signed Off

  1. Delivery: standard lines ship within 90 working days of the deposit, with engineers on site to guide installation and commissioning.
  2. Support: our after-sales team, online support after handover, engineers on site and direct spare-parts supply.
  3. Acceptance: a new line is signed off on two sizes, four hours each, running continuously and smoothly.
  4. Wear parts: rolls, saw blades, induction coils and impeders, with rolls machined in-house.
  5. Process control: the variables that decide whether a mill holds weld quality and dimension, set out below.

Configuration Tiers and What Each Tier Includes

A line is supplied either complete or as single units, with pricing tiered by configuration and the difference reflecting scope rather than quality. Within a tier, the variables are automation level, whether an in-line inspection train is fitted, and the forming route; how each tier is made up is set out under tube mill configuration tiers.

Commercial Terms: Lead Time, Payment and Incoterms

Standard lines ship within 90 working days of the deposit, with plant-level customisation scheduled from our own manufacturing base. Payment is 30% by T/T on signing, 65% by T/T before shipment and 5% after installation and commissioning, or by L/C at sight; prices are quoted ex-works (EXW). The line is dismantled into units and shipped in containers: heavy frames are braced and secured, while precision parts and wear items travel in wooden cases together with a spare-parts pack.

Spare Parts and Wear Items

Forming and sizing rolls are wear-replacement spares, not consumables, and we machine them in-house on our own CNC equipment, so roll supply does not depend on an outside tool shop; other spare parts ship direct. Details are under tube mill rolls & spare parts.

Saw blades and cutting tools are consumed by cutting volume, induction coils and impeders are fast-wearing items replaced by welding hours, and hydraulic oil and lubricating oil are supplied by the buyer.

What Decides Weld Quality and Dimension

A small set of variables decides whether any high-frequency welded tube mill holds weld quality and dimension. Each is a controlled variable with a known failure mode, and each applies to every line we build.

Impeder and induction coil condition concentrate the welding current; when worn, welding energy disperses, seam quality fluctuates and consumption rises. Control stability keeps line speed and cut length repeatable, and instability shows up as speed fluctuation, cut-length error and downtime. Post-weld cooling stabilises the seam structure and has to be matched to weld speed.

Roll material and heat treatment govern shape stability; under-specified rolls show up as early wear, diameter drift and crooked corner lines.

Weld fusion is governed by high-frequency power, frequency and welding speed, with lack of fusion, cold welds and burn-through as the failures. Squeeze and seam alignment govern seam offset, mismatch and flash. Sizing and straightening set final outside diameter, straightness and ovality.

Machine Factors and Operating Factors

On the equipment side: welder power matching, seam alignment and squeeze for weld fusion; sizing accuracy and straightening capability for dimensional accuracy; process and automation design, with material yield reaching 93% or more on high-end configurations and actual yield also depending on the buyer’s operation; and quick tooling change limiting drift after a size change.

On the buyer’s side: incoming strip grade, thickness tolerance and flatness; operation and scheduling; the changeover procedure itself. The general position across all lines is that levelling and incoming inspection capability is provided, but strip quality remains the buyer’s responsibility.

That split matters whenever a defect appears: the same defect can be a machine fault or an operating fault, and without an operating record you cannot tell which.

Delivery and Handling

Because the line ships dismantled, re-assembly and commissioning on site are a required step. Our engineers travel to site to guide installation, commissioning and operator training; the buyer provides the installation crew and covers the engineers’ travel, lodging and daily allowance, and support continues online after handover. Acceptance is set out under tube mill supply scope, commissioning & acceptance criteria.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are typical lead times and payment terms?

Standard lines ship within 90 working days of the deposit, with plant-level customisation scheduled from our own manufacturing base; 30% by T/T on signing, 65% by T/T before shipment and 5% after installation and commissioning, or L/C at sight; prices quoted ex-works (EXW).

Which configuration tiers are available and what changes between them?

We supply either a complete line or a single unit, priced in tiers by configuration; the tiers differ in scope, not quality. The main variables are automation level, whether an in-line inspection train is included, and the forming route.

How are spare parts and rolls supplied after handover?

Rolls are machined in-house on our own CNC, so roll supply does not depend on an outside tool shop; spares ship direct.

What support comes with a new line?

Engineers on site to guide installation, commissioning and operator training, online support after handover, our after-sales team for enquiries, and spare parts shipped direct.

How is a new line accepted?

The line is accepted when two different sizes each run continuously and smoothly for four hours. That test exercises the coil-join chain, a size change, and weld and dimension control at once.

Tube mill machine wholesale

For tube mill machine wholesale — distributors and regional agents buying lines to resell — pricing is tiered by configuration, which leaves room for resale margin, and the commercial terms are the same as above. The full partner terms are in our tube mill dealer & agent program.

Partners who also sell forming equipment can see our roll forming machines & cold roll forming lines.
