In This Line
Tengtian builds welded pipe and section lines for four application groups: oil and gas line pipe, water supply, drainage and urban gas pipe, structural and scaffolding tube, and furniture and fence tube. The right line is chosen from the target pipe size and wall, not from the application name.
What Is Pipe Production Applications
Pipe production applications are the end uses our lines are built for. A water pipe making machine, an oil and gas line pipe mill and a scaffolding tube line are often the same family of high-frequency welded tube mill, sized differently for pipe diameter, wall and testing. Our range covers welded pipe from Φ10 to Φ630 mm, square tube by direct forming, API line pipe and spiral welded pipe up to Φ1620 mm, so you can start from the pipe you need to make.

Three process families cover these applications, chosen by diameter and by what the finished pipe has to prove.
High-frequency welded round and square tube. Twelve diameter steps from HG32 to HG630, finished outside diameter Φ10 to Φ630 mm, wall 0.5 to 16 mm, on our tube mill & welded pipe production line. This is the volume route for structural, furniture, water and scaffolding tube.
Direct forming square tube. Finished section 30 × 30 mm to 500 × 500 mm across seven bands, wall 1.5 to 20 mm, produced with one combined mould so that a size change is a servo adjustment rather than a roll change.
API line pipe. A high-frequency line extended with medium-frequency annealing, straightening, end facing, hydrostatic testing, ultrasonic and eddy-current inspection, covering outside diameter 114 to 508 mm with wall 3 to 20 mm across four models. This is the route when the pipe has to pass an inspection chain rather than simply meet a dimension.
Spiral welded pipe. Our SSAW spiral welded pipe mill covers the large-diameter end, up to Φ1620 mm, by a different mechanism: hot-rolled strip is bent on three rolls at a set forming angle and welded inside and outside by submerged arc.
Carbon steel pipe mill for fluid transport
A carbon steel pipe mill for fluid transport is usually a high-frequency welded line from our HG series, sized by the outside diameter and wall of the pipe; larger diameters move to spiral welding. The water supply, drainage and urban gas page sets out how these lines are configured.

How to Choose by Application
Start from the finished pipe. Target outside diameter and wall come first, because they decide which of the twelve high-frequency diameter steps, which direct forming band or which spiral configuration is in scope.
Then decide what the pipe has to prove. Structural and furniture tube is accepted on dimension and appearance; transmission line pipe has to pass an inspection chain, which is why the API line is a separate product.

Field Evidence by Industry
Sizes run from 76 × 3 mm round up to 250 × 250 mm square, and include 200 × 200 × 12 mm and 150 × 150 × 6 mm sections. Our lines have gone to 25 countries — most make construction tube, and others run fire-extinguisher tube, furniture tube and other sections.
