HG32 HFW Tube Mill — Φ10–32 mm Round & Square Pipe Line

Home › Tube Mill › Small-Diameter Tube Mill › HG32

The first of the twelve model steps — Φ10 – Φ32 mm round pipe and 10×10 – 25×25 mm square section, on a 150 kW high-frequency welder.

HG32 tube mill line, full length

The HG32 tube mill is the smallest line in our HG series. It runs as one continuous mill: steel coil goes in at the uncoiler, and finished straight-seam pipe comes off the saw, from Φ10 to Φ32 mm round and 10×10 to 25×25 mm square.

HG32 Tube Mill Specifications

Line speed and shift output depend on wall thickness, steel grade and cut length, so we confirm both at quotation once you send us your pipe size, material grade and cut length.

  • Outside diameter range: Φ10 – Φ32 mm.
  • Wall thickness: 0.5 – 1.5 mm for round and square pipe; 0.4 – 1.5 mm for 20 × 30 mm rectangular pipe.
  • Section shapes: round, square and rectangular. Most HG steps run all three.
  • Forming: conventional roll forming; the direct-forming square option is a separate line type.
  • Welding: high-frequency induction welding across the whole series.
  • Automation: semi-automatic or full PLC control.
  • Welder power: 150 kW.

What a Tube Mill for 32mm Pipe Includes

As a tube mill for 32mm pipe and below, the HG32 line is built from the following units, from coil entry to finished pipe:

  1. Uncoiler with pneumatic four-link expanding mandrel, tensioning the coil as it feeds.
  2. Automatic shear-welder, joining strip end to strip end so the mill keeps running between coils.
  3. Spiral accumulator, storing strip while the next coil is prepared.
  4. Forming and sizing mill — the core unit for shape, seam and dimension.
  5. HF induction welder, sized to the pipe range.
  6. Flying saw, cutting to length while pipe is delivered continuously.
  7. Run-out table, carrying the finished pipe to the collecting table.
  8. PLC and variable-frequency control tying speed, cadence and cut length together.

Wear Parts and Consumables

On a small-diameter line running at speed, the flying saw and the impeder are the two parts that weigh most on running cost. Both are wear items we keep supplying: saw blades and cutting tools wear with cutting volume, and impeders and induction coils wear with welding hours. Replacement intervals in hours or tonnes are available on request.

Forming and sizing rolls are machined in-house on our own CNC equipment, which is the reason spare rolls stay available years after handover rather than becoming a sourcing problem.

Cooling water or emulsion and hydraulic oil and grease are process media: we give the specification, the buyer sources them locally.

Size Change, Yield and Weld Quality

On some of our higher-specification lines, material yield can reach 93 per cent; the yield actually achieved on any line also depends on the buyer’s scheduling and operating practice. Changing size on a conventional roll-forming mill means changing the roll set. That is the baseline, and it is what this step does. The alternative — a combined mould with servo adjustment that changes size without changing rolls — belongs to the direct-forming square line, which is a different line type.

After a size change, PLC and variable-frequency drive control keep line speed and cut length repeatable from batch to batch, instead of leaving them to the operator.

Weld fusion quality is on the equipment side — welder power matching, seam alignment and squeeze control — while strip quality and operation are the buyer’s.

Where this step sits in the twelve

The series is a ladder, not a set of options: HG32, HG50, HG76, HG89, HG114, HG165, HG219, HG273, HG325, HG426, HG508 and HG630, each with its own diameter band. HG32 is the bottom rung.

Delivery, installation and what happens afterwards

The line is dismantled into units and shipped in containers: heavy frames are braced and secured, while precision parts and wear items travel in wooden cases together with a spare-parts pack. Shipment is within 90 working days of the deposit.

Installation and commissioning are guided on site by our engineers, with online support behind them; the buyer provides the installation crew and covers the engineers’ travel, lodging and daily allowance. Our after-sales team handles enquiries.

Payment is staged — 30% by T/T on signing, 65% by T/T before shipment and 5% after installation and commissioning — or made by L/C at sight; prices are quoted ex-works (EXW).

Where Our Lines Are Running

Our lines have gone to 25 countries — most make construction tube, and others run fire-extinguisher tube, furniture tube and other sections.

What to send with an enquiry

Finished outside diameter, wall thickness and target output, plus whether the section is round, square or rectangular. Welder power comes with the size range: on the HG32 tube mill it is 150 kW.

Pipe Below Φ10 mm

HG32 is the smallest line in the series, so it is the one most often asked to go below its range. It cannot: its lower limit is Φ10 mm. A line runs well only when pipe diameter, welder power and unit configuration are matched, so if your pipe is smaller than Φ10 mm we will say so plainly rather than stretch the line past its range.
